Jasper HS Student Radio Station WJWS-LP/93.7 Wins Imaging Honors Using Benztown Libraries!

Jasper High School's Radio/TV 2 Class in Jasper, Indiana, and their student radio station WJWS-LP/93.7 The Scratch recently placed 1st in the radio imaging category of the Indiana Association of School Broadcasters contest. Benztown has made its imaging libraries available at no cost to the school for the last four years.

Benztown Kicks off New Radio Mentorship Program for Students in Radio!

Benztown and The National Radio Talent System™ also announced the selection of the program’s first quarter mentee, Susquehanna University student Carly Rogers. Rogers participated in the Confer Radio Talent Institute last summer at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. Through the Benztown Mentorship Program, Rogers will be personally mentored by radio professional Jack Diamond, Host of "The Jack Diamond Morning Show on CUMULUS MEDIA’s Mix 107.3/WRQX-FM in Washington, D.C., during the months of January, February and March. Diamond will mentor Rogers via teleconference and at WRQX-FM studios in Washington, D.C.

They turned to Benztown, McVay Media, and Sound That BRANDS to produce The Making of: A Nat Geo Podcast, a 12-episode “For Your Consideration” podcast series featuring interviews with Nat Geo Emmy contenders, in front of and behind the camera, and the very first podcast ever created in the “For Your Consideration” category.
